Many states have a Where’s My Refund site. We recommend doing a Google search such as “NC Where’s My Refund” to find the site.
Pay IRS Taxes
Click HERE to go to the IRS page that will allow you to pay your IRS tax balance. Choose “Form 1040 – Income Tax” for the “Apply Payment To” dropdown box. For the “Reason for Payment” dropdown, choose “Balance Due” if the payment is for the balance of your taxes after filing your return or choose “Estimated Tax” if you are making an estimate payment for the current tax year. Lastly, input the year the tax balance or estimate is for.
